Hey everyone!
Today, I'm going to show you how I make my intention room sprays and body sprays. I'll be sharing two options: a pre-made blend for sleep and a head cold recipe I found online. Let's get started!
- 100ml spray bottle
- Essential oils (50 drops total)
- Distilled water or full moon water
- Isopropyl alcohol (optional, for preservation)
- Small funnel
- Crystals (optional)
Sleep Spray Recipe
For this recipe, I'm using a pre-made blend called "Lullaby" from Eco Modern Essentials.
It includes mandarin, lavender, German chamomile, and sweet marjoram.
1. Prepare the Bottle:
- I have some of the previous blend left, it's around 40% full.
2. Add Essential Oils:
I added 20 drops of the "Lullaby" blend into the bottle. Some oils drop quickly, while others are slower, so be careful. If you were using a new 100ml bottle the dilution would be 50 drops.
3. Fill with Water and Alcohol:
- Fill the bottle halfway with distilled water (or full moon water, if you have it). - Top it up with isopropyl alcohol if you want your spray to last longer. Otherwise, just use more water and store in the fridge.
4. Set Your Intention:
- I like to draw Reiki symbols, however you don't have to, having a clear intention is very powerful on the bottle and sometimes placing crystals next to it. For sleep, amethyst or tourmaline work well. - Focus your intention on good sleep, protection from nightmares, and clearing negative energy.
5. Usage:
- Spray every layer of the bed, from the mattress to the pillows, when changing sheets.
- Give the room a quick spray at night.
- Spray around your body to help you relax and unwind.
Head Cold Spray Recipe
For the head cold recipe, I used a blend I found on Loving Essential Oils, which I adapted for a 100ml bottle.
Here's what you'll need:
- 15 drops of Lavender
- 15 drops of Eucalyptus
- 10 drops of Tea Tree
- 5 drops of peppermint
1. Prepare the Bottle:
-Gather all the essential oils you'll need.
2. Add Essential Oils:
- Add the drops directly into the bottle. Some oils might come out quickly, so be prepared!
3. Fill with Water and Alcohol:
- Fill the bottle halfway with distilled water (or in this case infused water with ruby garnet).
- Top isopropyl alcohol if desired.
4. Set Your Intention:
- I like to include small crystals in the bottle. Amethyst or clear quarts are great choices.
- Focus your intention on healing and clearing the cold faster.
5. Usage:
- Spray around the room and body/ head to help clear congestion and promote relaxation.
Tips
I often use leftover sprays in my steam mop for cleaning floors, adding intention to my cleaning routine.
For example, peppermint and cinnamon for abundance or rose and jasmine for romance.- For eco-friendly cleaning, I use homemade sprays with essential oils like lemon or lime for a fresh citrus scent.
Final Thoughts
Making your own intention sprays is easy and fun.
Plus, it's a great way to use natural ingredients and avoid commercial cleaners. Let me know if you try it!
